Joyce Mahoney
2002 Ozarks Hall of Fame
Joyce Mahoney ‘is’ women’s golf in Springfield. In 1975 she was a Missouri State Amateur finalist. Mrs. Mahoney won her first Springfield Area Women's Golf Association Championship in 1970 and her record 18th at the age of 71 in 2001. She also won the Missouri State Senior Championship in 1980 through 1984 and the Hickory Hills Club Championship 10 times. Other victories include her win at the Tri-State Championship in 1996, as well as the Highland Springs Country Club Championship in 1990. She also placed 3rd in the National Senior Olympics in 1988. Mrs. Mahoney is equally recognized as an activist for women’s sports. Mrs. Mahoney was a founding inductee to the Ozarks Golf Hall of Fame in 2002.
