Perry Leslie started in the golf profession in 1969 as an assistant professional at Hickory Hills County Club. He would assist Sam Reynolds there until 1974. After this time Perry gave the tour a try. He would play on tour from 1974 to 1978. After his stint on tour Perry would go back to Hickory Hills in 1979 as assistant pro until 1981 when he would become co-professional at the club with Mr. Reynolds.
In 1989 Perry would move to the new Highland Springs Country Club in Springfield. He would be on board in 1990 when Highland Springs would become a stop for the Ben Hogan tour. Perry would again test his golfing legs in 1995 by competing in the Senior PGA Tour. He would compete on tour for both the ’95 and ’96 season.
Perry was selected 1989 and 1993 the PGA’s Midwest Section professional of the year. He was the first two-time winner.
